Hi, all, FYI - this was all discussed on the IETF main list, starting with a post on Dec 31, 2016: https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/ietf/To8dZTn9uBJLnzqIvEDPpNnA1rc We went down all these roads before (including TAI, UTC, and local time). The real problem, as noted by Michael, is that Unix time is "none of the above" and has no simple conversion to the above. And that the IETF doesn't govern the definition of Unix time. However, I'm pulling together a draft on the this issue in order to cache this information for future users. Those interested in collaborating are encouraged to contact me off-list directly. I'll try to pull in some folks from the Dec/Jan IETF discussion as well. Joe
