I was imagining a new method, REPOST, whose semantics are "post of data previously posted". It could be used to post queries again, but also in situations where the success of an original POST might be uncertain, e.g., connection times out. Clearly, any URL that supports REPOST would need to deal with determining for itself whether the entry was new or old. This might deal with the issue without adding any additional request or reply headers. What do you think? Larry
