Hi, I am new to this mailing list and forgive me if this is a faq. We have finished a prototype of an (extended) HTTP server that manages versions and configuration of web objects. To implement the version/configuratin functions, we have implemented LINK, PUT and related methods as a part of the server. We have also developed clients that can cooperate with the server. Are there any implemented servers similar to this? Any pointers would be very appreciated. The server is written in Perl. We developed two kinds of clients: one is developed using MetaCard, a GUI builder, and an extended libwww library that can handle our additional methods. The other one is written in Java.
