As working group chair, and judging from the lack of comments on HTTP/1.0 issues, it would seem that the HTTP-WG has come to consensus on the contents of the HTTP/1.0 "best current practice" specification, as currently represented in <draft-ietf-http-v10-spec-03.txt and .ps>. In order to continue progress on our other tasks, we would now like to declare this one complete and forward it to the IESG. If you disagree and your conflicting opinion has not already been judged by a poll for consensus on the WG, then please restate that opinion now. Any objections must include the complete and exact wording that you would like added, exactly where in Draft 03 it should be added, and/or what text needs to be removed from Draft 03. All opinions will be compared to the stated guidelines for inclusion in the BCP: Each specified feature must be correctly and consistently implemented on approximately 80% or more of the currently existing clients and servers which should implement those features. If there are no objections, Draft 03 will be forwarded to the IESG for final review on Thursday, September 21 (one week from today). If there are any objections, they will be polled for rough consensus on this WG and, if changes are required, a new draft will be generated containing only those changes and forwarded to the IESG on Monday, September 25. As with all drafts, the IESG will likely issue an official Last Call of their own after our submittal. -- Dave Raggett <dsr@w3.org> tel: +1 (617) 258 5741 fax: +1 (617) 258 8682 World Wide Web Consortium, 545 Technology Square, Cambridge, MA 02139 url = http://www.w3.org/hypertext/WWW/People/Raggett/index.html <
