As a chief offendor, I am going to take the pledge:

I for one am going to suspend flaming about broad issues for a week, to
make sure more people have the time they need to evaluate the proposal we
have received from the original editors of the specification. 

Do we need corresponding statements about exactly what hapens with InfoSet
and XPath as well, to complete the review package?

Does anyone need a walk-through of why X-Base is not on that list?  Have
you carefully re-read the posts from Paul Grosso?
