WSDL 2.0 HTTP authentication requirement

Many moons ago, you submitted a comment [1] to the Web Services
Description Working Group which included the request for "a way to
specify an authentication requirement" in the HTTP binding. We've been
tracking this as an issue [2] since then. We're now polishing off the
HTTP binding in preparation for Last Call.

There is some disagreement about the scope of this requirement. Is it
simply a way to indicate that https must be used, or is there more
involved? We'd like some additional information on the specific use
case you were envisioning to guide our discussions about the scope of
solutions we should be considering.
