We do have a FAQ for the validator:
	http://validator.w3.org/docs/help
It's just not too good in the production version, much better in CVS:
	http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/validator/htdocs/docs/help.html
And generally more visible and readable in our development version.

Note that our common "fixed in the dev version" woes should be fixed 
within two/three weeks. Can't wait...
