Basically, it still built DLLs, regardless of whether or not WWW_WIN_DLL
was defined or not.

Could you please describe your problem a bit more detailed? Was there
some undefined externals?
Could you please send a list of errors from MSVC?

I have tried without success to build a static version of the www-lib
libraries for Windows.  I have tried editing the MSVC makefile in a
of ways, including undefining WWW_WIN_DLL, to no avail.  If anyone has
tips, or a working makefile that accomplishes this correctly, I would
appreciate it.
