We haven't implemented all of WebDAV yet, let alone RFC2518bis, and
don't claim to have a finished or fully-compliant implementation in
either client or server yet. We're working on it! I highly suspect we
will implement in client and server because we do support anonymous
access and it's nice for clients to be able to decide to go from that
to authenticated access.

While I'm on the topic: our WebDAV client library in progress is
intended to be high-level and more application-oriented than the
standard libraries that come with Python. It's open source, naturally,
and contributions are welcome.
