I think I disagree with this part.  @role exists in XHTML 1.1 + RDFa 
('cause I said so) using the xhtml-role module.  It is included in the 
current draft at http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Drafts/xhtml-rdfa.

Moreover, there is no "xhtml2" namespace, so saying xhtml2:role is 
somewhat misleading.  XHTML2 uses the same namespace as XHTML 1 and 
XHTML 1.1.
