Greetings old (and few hundred new) friends,

I agree with this proposal, whose core is to use WhatWG's HTML5 as the
starting point for this WG. HTML5 contains good clarifications and
proposals for new features with the mindset of being compatible with
decent set of current browser engines. 

As others have noted, this does not mean that it should read like the
bible. This group will probably make large and small additions,
deletions, and corrections, even to high-level features. Otherwise
having this group makes no sense.
