My inclination is that we want 4.0 to align with XPath 4.0 and friends. It obviously doesn’t have to, but it seems like the most user-friendly thing to do.
That’s at least a year a way (that is not an official estimate, you didn’t hear it from me, I didn’t say it), so we probably have time to do a targeted 3.2 with a few bug fixes.
I want to rework the spec build system. In retrospect, having different repositories for the spec, the steps, the grammar, the this, the that, and the other thing was (IMHO) a mistake.
I’d also like to move development to Codeberg, but I wonder if that would be controversial.
