Can I prevent p:store from overwriting files?

Hi,

in one of my pipelines, I want to generate certain files only if they do
not already exist.  It seems, though, that there is no way to instruct
p:store not to overwrite existing files, and there also seems to be no way
to query for the existence of a file using plain XProc (or MorganaXProc,
for that matter).  Has anyone of you ever run into such a requirement and
found a nice and small solution?
