It's hard to tell without seeing the actual pipeline or further environmental info, but the error occurs when trying to construct a File object in Java with a file:// URI having an authority part. This can happen when trying to build a file URI from a network UNC path (e.g. //network/file/path can be converted into file://network/file/path , from which Java can fail creating a File object.
