Lots of people using JDK11 have never even heard of XML. All this stuff is down in the floor -3 of the basement. They didn't even know there was a computer down there, let alone an application written in Java using an ancient version of Xerces. All they know is, it just stopped working, and there's an error message that seems to indicate that it's W3C's fault. Michael Kay Saxonica
