Hello list, I was really not sure since long time, whether I must write this announcement here. I have seen similar such announcements on this list in past, with the same intent. I wrote a book titled, "W3C XML Schema 1.1 for Beginners" that was published in 2014. It is now also available on Amazon it seems. One of the links I know is this, http://www.amazon.com/W3C-XML-Schema-1-1-Beginners/dp/1619030187/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1463647114&sr=1-5&keywords=XML+Schema+1.1. I requested Noah Mendelsohn to write foreword for this book. After initial skepticism about my book's quality, he helped me improve this book by providing useful suggestions on early drafts, and finally wrote a foreword. This book it seems is very close to formal language used in XML Schema 1.1 specification itself, but it has probably narrowed the gap between the XML Schema 1.1 spec's formalism and what the XML Schema (XSD) users like to read. I am not aware of e book versions of this book at the moment. I hope this email is accepted well. -- Regards, Mukul Gandhi
