I have a question on the standard XML namespace specification located at this URL: http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd In this schema, references are made to entities with the prefix "xml", but this is never declared as a namespace prefix using "xmlns". Is this a case where the prefix is just known and does not need to be declared? This seems strange since other well-known prefixes such as xsd and xsi must be declared.
