XSV 2.5-2 tries to open a namespace as resource

XSV 2.5-2 on http://www.cs.umb.edu/efg/sdd/Lisbon2003-SDD.xsd seems to 
be trying to /open/ the default namespace and causing an error (that 
namespace is http://www.cs.umb.edu/efg/sdd and will in fact return 
something, but relatively meaningless). If the namespace is something 
which doesn't correspond to anything, then XSV complains that it can't 
open the URL. Why is XSV trying to resolve a namespace and do I care?

BTW, similar problem for http://www.w3.org/2001/03/XMLSchema/TypeLibrary.xsd
