Architag Announces XRay 2.0 - XRAY now supports XML Schema

Architag's XML Editor XRay now supports XML Schema(XSD) with its new
version XRay 2.0!

XRay 2.0 is available for free download from http://architag.com/xray.

This new version of XRay has improvements in several areas:

*         Real-time XML Editing
The XRay editing engine offers a real-time validator. Parsing errors are
shown in real time as you type your XML tags and content. The real-time
editing functionality helps new users learn XML quickly because they get
instant feedback.

* New W3C XML Schema Support
Full W3C XML Schema (also called XSD) support is built into version 2 of
XRay. XSD schemas are automatically parsed according to the W3C
specification to assure compliance. Then, a schema is available, using
XML Namespaces, to validate other XML documents within XRay.

*         New Tutorial Subsystem
XRay has a new tutorial engine that helps new users learn XML syntax
quickly. Available from the Help menu, the "How To." function is a web
service that contains interactive tutorials for XML, XSD, XSLT, and
other XML-based technologies.

* Support for WSDL and Web Services Extensions
Web Services Description Language (WSDL) is fully supported in XRay 2.0.
This includes all parts of WSDL documents, including intelligent parsing
of schemas within the WSDL file.

*         Real-time XSLT Processing
XRay has built-in XSLT processing that, like the XML engine, provides
real-time transformation of XML structures, including HTML. There is
also a built-in HTML viewer for quick development of XML-based Web
pages.

*         DTD Support
XRay now supports the XML 1.0 document type definition syntax, and
validates documents according to DTDs.

*         Performance Enhancements

o XRay now supports intelligent coloring of tags and attributes.

o A new "indent" document function creates a properly indented
document according to the XML document structure

o Line numbering, word-wrap and splittable window panes are now
available.

o Real-time parsing can be turned off for parsing extremely large
files.

Architag CTO Brian Travis says the new product is based on input from
many users. "We originally developed XRay to support our XML courses at
Architag University. Since then, thousands of users around the world
have reported their experiences with the product and offered
suggestions. XRay 2.0 is based on those suggestions, as well as our own
experience teaching people about XML."

XRay 2.0 is available for free download from http://architag.com/xray.
