I have been on the edges of work to define life cycles for system engineering, software engineering and usability engineering - at various stages in their dealings with ISO. In terms of plain English, there is a fair bit of rigour to their terminology and semantics, so they would be a good start for defining this field as SML schema. Do you know if there is anything going on in this area? How would one state an intention to do this for extensive public use? regards Brian Sherwood Jones Process Contracting Limited Human Factors, Usability and System Engineering Consultancy http://www.processforusability.co.uk 6 Burgh Rd Prestwick Ayrshire KA9 1QU tel: 01292 678598 mobile: 0793 275 0487 fax: 01292 479806
