I've now fixed the schema documents at
http://www.w3.org/2000/10/xml.xsd and http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace.xsd

Note that the _correct_ schema documents, conformant to the W3C XML
Schema REC, for the XML namespace remain unchanged at
http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd and http://www.w3.org/2001/03/xml.xsd
