Hello xmlp-comments, As noted in member-only email http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-xml-protocol-wg/2004Feb/0035.html we hear that XMLP is disinclined to add support for binary attribute data in addition to the existing support for binary element content. SVG has binary attribute data (currently expressed using the data: protocol, and we hoped that we could express it in a better way with your help) but has no binary element content data. While we understand the time-to-market reasons for pursuing such an asymmetric approach, this does unfortunately mean that SVG is unable to use this specification. -- Chris Lilley mailto:chris@w3.org Chair, W3C SVG Working Group Member, W3C Technical Architecture Group
