Aha, some people who may know the truth! It has been often stated (including being stated by me) on this list (and elsewhere) that microsoft tools generate or require document instances using namespace names that are relative URI references. Is this true? If so are there any URI to online examples or documentation? So far no actual examples of such Microsoft documents seem to have been found. Currently the situation appears to be that I am the unique person in the world that has put his hand up and said "I've used relative URI as namespace names" This leads several people to suggest the "forbid" option (because, clearly I don't count:-). (Actually I could accept "forbid" as well if that was really the case.)
