Question to All: Our company is looking into the feasibility of the following and I hope you could comment on it. Our company's orientation is around an Intellectual Property information disclosing service. The XML and P2P technologies could be of great help as they bring solutions that few people or firms have explored so far (as far as we know). The hope is that we can get proprietary expertise in a forming/using a vocabulary for tagging(Metadatas,...)that suit IP/Intangible Asset applications. What I hope you can help us in clarifying is-- If there is a Schema Specific Language (vocabulary) to suit specific applications such as Patents and other technical documents. In other words, how do you best tag patents/tech doc datas? Also, how do you best tag financial information (Intangible Assets, as found on the financial reporting documents of Corporate America) datas? If you know of someone immersed in this area (you?) (XML/RDF/Metadata tagging) that might be able to discuss or comment on this, I'd be grateful to learn about this person/people. Your comments are most appreciated.
