Elliotte, I've posted Schema Rec compliant versions of these at[1,2]. I'm not sure what the copyright issues are... I generated them by back porting the SOAP 1.2 schemas that we produced in the XMLP group[3,4] Regards Martin Gudgin DevelopMentor [1] http://marting.develop.com/xmlp/soap1.1/envelope-2001-07-10.xsd [2] http://marting.develop.com/xmlp/soap1.1/encoding-2001-07-10.xsd [3] http://www.w3.org/2001/06/soap-envelope [4] http://www.w3.org/2001/06/soap-encoding ----- Original Message ----- From: "Elliotte Rusty Harold" <elharo@metalab.unc.edu> To: <xml-dist-app@w3.org> Sent: Monday, July 16, 2001 12:53 PM Subject: SOAP Schemas reproduction > I would like to reproduce the SOAP schemas at http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ and http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ in an upcoming book, possibly after modifying them to fit my white space conventions and to bring them up to date with the latest Schema draft. These are not, however, under the W3C copyright, so this is not by default permitted. To make matters worse there are multiple copyrights on the schemas. Is anyone in a position to grant permission to work with these? or to change the copyright notice so that it's clear that they can be used other than by direct reference to their normative URLs? > -- > > +-----------------------+------------------------+-------------------+ > | Elliotte Rusty Harold | elharo@metalab.unc.edu | Writer/Programmer | > +-----------------------+------------------------+-------------------+ > | The XML Bible, 2nd Edition (Hungry Minds, 2001) | > | http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/books/bible2/ | > | http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=0764547607/cafeaulaitA/ | > +----------------------------------+---------------------------------+ > | Read Cafe au Lait for Java News: http://www.cafeaulait.org/ | > | Read Cafe con Leche for XML News: http://www.ibiblio.org/xml/ | > +----------------------------------+---------------------------------+ >
