Dear All. ONE-2 implementations ( http://www.one-2.org/ ) have identified a few technical problems in the ZIG Holdings XML Schema version 5h. I have therefore produced a new draft version 6a of the Holdings XML Schema. This version is called HoldingsSchema6a.xsd . The semantic content of the new version is designed to be almost identical to the previous version. The most important change is that the element type "enumeration" has been renamed "Enumeration", because term "enumeration" is part of the Schema syntax. The underlying ZIG Holdings Abstract Schema has not been changed: http://lcweb.loc.gov/z3950/agency/defns/holdings.html The new version 6a of the XML Schema (XSD) is available here: http://www.portia.dk/zholdings/Holdings6a/HoldingsSchema6a.xsd An annotated HTML version with cross-references is available here (>1 Megabyte): http://www.portia.dk/zholdings/Holdings6a/HoldingsSchema6a_xsd/HoldingsSchem a6a.htm This XSD Schema version 6a complies with the W3C Candidate Recommendation XML Schema syntax from 23. October 2000: http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/CR-xmlschema-0-20001024/ A semantically equivalent XML Schema (XDR) based on the W3C XML-Data Note from 5. January 1998 is available here: http://www.portia.dk/zholdings/Holdings6a/HoldingsSchema6a.xdr The XML Schema makes extensive use of certain features, which are not readily modelled by an equivalent SGML DTD.
