Thanks Tony, I can't see it as an extension in AHF. I've not looked at any of the other parsers and can't comment on them. I'm going to try using @z-index and see what happens. Also will place a comment on the W3C Bugzilla for FO and how in this instance I'd like to use it. Did see something in a piece of CSS 3 that when something like this rgba(200, 54, 54, 0.5). The last number being an alpha. Now this would be nice to implement. Not according to XSL 1.1. I keep thinking that someone's implemented it as an extension, but I now can't find any implementations that do. It is in the XSL FO 2.0 requirements [1] but not in the current WD [2]. Feel free to comment about this on the W3C Bugzilla [3].
