create invoice with xml-fo

Hello,

i want to create an invoice with xml-fo and here is my problem.

I get a xml file with all elements in this invoice. I dont know how much 
elements. So the invoice is 2 .. N pages long. I want to have a subtotal 
on each page.

Is it possible to create the subtotal on each page with knowing(at 
creating this template) how much elements are in this invoice and 
without saying how much elements should be on one page. I think the 
xml-fo converter(to pdf) make a dynamic page break. So it would be fine 
to have a subtotal at the bottom on each page.

Is that possible to create with xml-fo or with xsl and xml-fo?

Any hints are welcome.
