best way to synchronized marginalia

hi all,

(about me: im new to FO (read renderX-tut and chap18 of XMLBible). need FO
to customize docbook-XSL. saying HELLO!)

Im converting a documentation written in MSWord to Docbook-XML which will be
styled as HTML and PDF. An objective is to match the
Word-formatting.

Main efford was to reflect synchronized marginalia with HTML+CSS.
You can see how this looks like here: (there will be no text-marginalia but
only these little admonition-images)

(i willingly share the docbook-XSL customization)

FO (rendered by XEP) should look similar.
i need to cover marginalia synchronized to:

- para (textblock)
- table/chapter/section - titles
- listitems

Cause im very new to FO, i wonder whatll be the best way to get this result.

any pointers?
