That is kind, Paul, but even I hesitated at my own wording when I wrote my 
initial response.  I was trying to address the quester's use of the word 
"sometimes", and rereading it now I realize I was off on a tangent trying 
to supply a general purpose answer in short order while in a rush to get 
away from my keyboard.

Thank you, I agree with you that for the specific question, the best way is 
use the initial-page-number on the given chapter and not rely on the 
counting of pages of preceding page sequences.

I apologize for the misleading response, and I very much appreciate being 
told when I'm not correct so I can add polish to the information in our 
continually republished book for the next edition.  Please don't hesitate 
in the future, as all of my customers will benefit from me being told I'm 
wrong!
