http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=6185 Summary: [attribute] isn't a property of an element information item Product: XML Schema Version: 1.1 only Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Datatypes: XSD Part 2 AssignedTo: cmsmcq@w3.org ReportedBy: davep@iit.edu QAContact: www-xml-schema-comments@w3.org There is no "[attribute]" property of an element information item; the property is "[attributes]". The value of [attributes] is a set of attribute information items, unordered and each identified by [namespace name] and [local name]. We use the phrase "the xxx:yyy [attribute]" to mean that attribute information item in [attributes] whose [namespace name] is linked to the prefix "xxx" and whose [local name] is "yyy". I don't think it is necessary to abuse the bracket notation by using "[attribute]". I suggest we simply say "the xxx:yyy attribute"; everyone will understand. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
