Summary: annotation on IDC with a 'ref' attribute is lost
Product: XML Schema
Version: 1.1 only
Platform: PC
URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema11-1/#declare-key
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Structures: XSD Part 1
AssignedTo: cmsmcq@w3.org
ReportedBy: knoaman@ca.ibm.com
QAContact: www-xml-schema-comments@w3.org
According to the spec, when the ref [attribute] on an IDC is present, the
corresponding schema component is the identity-constraint definition resolved
to by the actual value of the ref [attribute]. What happens to the annotation
child on that IDC element? Should bullet #4 in Schema Representation
Constraint: Identity-constraint Definition Representation OK be changed to:
4. If ref is present, then only id is allowed to appear together with ref.
