http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=5145 Summary: small editorial changes section 4.2.4-5.2 Product: XML Schema Version: 1.1 only Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Structures: XSD Part 1 AssignedTo: cmsmcq@w3.org ReportedBy: johnarwe@us.ibm.com QAContact: www-xml-schema-comments@w3.org 4.2.4 References to schema components across namespaces (<import>) "Note: Some users of version 1.0 of this specification have mistakenly assumed that the primary purpose of the <import>..." Note says there are 2 purposes, but leaves the reader hanging as to what those two purposes are. Please add them. 4.2.4.1 Licensing References to Components Across Namespaces "without massive redeclaration of the default namespace either " Not seeing why redeclaration of the default namespace is itself a "massive" change (one line). It certainly has pervasive effects. Maybe just remove "massive" rather than baiting the reader into a religious argument. 5.2 Assessing Schema-Validity having consistent space before each <dt> would improve readability
