Regarding the draft at
http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/PER-xmlschema-1-20040318/:
Section 3.2.5 says:
Furthermore, the item has one of the following alternative
sets of properties:
Either
[box]
or
[box]
If the ·type definition· has {variety} union, then ...
[box]
The first (·item isomorphic·) alternative above ...
Although it appears that the "If" paragraph is part of the second
alternative, it is not clear that it is not an additional condition
that applies to both alternatives. (It is not unambiguously clear
where the second alternative ends.)
Perhaps wording and/or punctuation changes could eliminate that
ambiguity.
