Regarding the draft at http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/PER-xmlschema-2-20040318/: Section 4.2.5 says: [Definition:] A datatype is said to be numeric if its values are conceptually quantities (in some mathematical number system). [Definition:] A datatype whose values are not ·numeric· is said to be non-numeric. The first definition defines whether a _datatype_ is numeric. The second refers to whether the _values_ of a datatype are numeric, which has not been defined. The second definition probably should refer to whether the datatype is numeric. Daniel
