Here are just a few comments, some new, on your XML Schema Primer [1] Candidate Recommendation. By rough measure, the primer is 295k, at a time when people are asking for shorter specs. HTML Tidy (or another tool) with indentation off will remove leading spaces in the source. This will reduce the file size by 20%. Please see http://www.w3.org/People/Raggett/tidy/ The examples tables need 'th' header elements to meet level-A Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. See checkpoint 5.1 on http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/#gl-table-markup and W3C publication rules. (Tables 1-4 and those in appendixes B and D look great.) W3C uses US English. Globally, words ending in ise -> ize Globally, etc -> etc. In Status of this Document, Groupconsiders -> Group considers In 3.2 par. 7, overides -> overrides In 5 par. 3, summarising -> summarizing In 5.5 par. 4, well formed -> well-formed [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/CR-xmlschema-0-20001024/ Best wishes for your project, -- Susan Lesch - mailto:lesch@w3.org tel:+1.858.483.4819 World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) - http://www.w3.org/
