There's a long-standing issue I've been asked to raise by my colleague Richard Tobin, which is the general issue of whitespace normalisation in attribute values -- the current draft doesn't talk about it wrt the PSV infoset, and it should. The issue Bob DuCharme raises about element vs. attribute is particularly significant here, as presuming we do bring our handling of e.g. NMTOKENS in to line with XML 1.0's/Infoset for attributes, since we allow NMTOKENS for elements their PSVInfoset will change between XML Schema and non-XML Schema processing. ht -- Henry S.
