You raised an issue against XML Schema regarding URIs for datatypes and facets [1]. I replied offering two options [2]. With hindsight, I missed the facets aspect of your request. Could you clarify, using the example of the 'pattern' facet and the 'NCName' datatype, which of three interpretations we should place on your request: 1) A name for the 'pattern' facet in general, independent of what type it's qualifying; 2) A name for the 'pattern' facet as used in definitions based on the NCName builtin; 3) A name for the 'pattern' facet in the definition of the NCName builtin itself. Please seek further clarification on IRC if necessary ht [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema-comments/2000AprJun/0181.html [2] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema-comments/2000AprJun/0193.html -- Henry S.
