The use of "*" to signify that there is no maximum number of occurrences seems unfortunate to me. "*" has a well-established meaning in XML, and that is that the minimum number of occurrences is 0 and there is no maximum number of occurrences. Using "*" with a different meaning in XML Schemas seems unnecessarily obfuscatory. How about something like "unlimited" or "any"? James
