Congratulations on your XLink Proposed Recommendation [1]. It looks really nice. Here are just a few minor editorial comments. thead, tbody (both optional elements), and rowspan="1" colspan="1" can be deleted from the tables in 4.1 and 4.2 to save about 2k in overall file size. You could add cellpadding="5" or so to make those two tables more readable. In 1. last list item, stylesheets -> style sheets In A.1, XML Names, "Textuality, Hewlett-Packard, and Microsoft." can be omitted. As it is normative in section 3, in A.2 IETF RFC 2119 can be a normative reference. In A.2 XIS, I imagine you will update the editors and date. In A.2 XLREQ, "Brown University. Seekonk:" can be omitted. In A.2 XLDP, "Seekonk:" can be omitted. In A.2 XPTR, "Metacode Technologies, Brown University, and Sun Microsystems. Burlington, Seekonk, et al.:" can be omitted. (What is "Seekonk"?)
