Eliotte, thank you for your comments on the XLink CR specification. I case you didn't already got an answer from the Working Group, your comment have been taken into consideration and are now listed in the XLink CR Disposition of Comments at: http://www.w3.org/XML/2000/10/xlink-CR-comments.html More specifically you raised the following issues: - Issue (remove-arcrole) which was rejected. While this looked like an interesting simplification, simple links can't have both an arc role and a role for their remote resource if we don't have two separate attribute names. - Issue (remove-title) which was rejected. The Working Group looked at the possibility of removing title attributes, title elements, or both. There was clear support from the I18N Group for having title elements support in XLink. They are not mandatory, but it seems their support is needed, so the Working Group decided to keep the status quo. - Issue (change-resource-name) which was rejected too :-\. The Working Group looked at various name change (change "resource" to "local", change "resource" to "local" and "locator" to "remote", change "resource" to "here" and "locator" to "uri", ...) but this ended up being considered a taste issue, and there was no consensus to change the syntax in that direction at this point. Would those issues been raised during Last Call, then it would probably been easier to make some of those changes, thanks anyway for your suggestions. Could you indicate if you accept the Working Group decision on this issue ? thanks in advance, Daniel -- Daniel.Veillard@w3.org | W3C, INRIA Rhone-Alpes | libxml Gnome XML toolkit Tel : +33 476 615 257 | 655, avenue de l'Europe | http://xmlsoft.org/ Fax : +33 476 615 207 | 38330 Montbonnot FRANCE | Rpmfind search site http://www.w3.org/People/all#veillard%40w3.org | http://rpmfind.net/
