Research Associate Post and a PhD studentship

Applications are invited for a three-year Research Associate (RA) position in
the STRL.  The successful candidate will be expected to undertake
research and development in the area of Software Evolution.
The post is for a period of at least 3 years, with effect from June 2003
Basic salary will be on the age-related scale starting £18,409 per
annum.
The post holder will be required to support the work and explore the
application of program transformation to Software Evolution of large
scale Systems.

The project is funded by Software Migration Ltd (SML) and is part of
a wider initiative to establish SML-funded University Technology Centre (UTC) in
Software Evolution.  The PhD studenship is funded by both SML and EPSRC.

Candidate for the RA post should have a PhD in Computer Science (or
industrial experience of at least 5 years) with
particular interest in Formal Methods. Candidates for the studentship
should have BSc in Computer Science or Mathematics.
