I've finished editing/updating a new draft of the Primer, including integration of all contributed sections, and it's ready for the WG to review: http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/%7Echeckout%7E/2002/ws/desc/wsdl20/wsdl20-primer.html Here is the To-Do list of known remaining work (mostly little things): http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/%7Echeckout%7E/2002/ws/desc/wsdl20/primer-todo.htm There are several questions/issues in the above To-Do list that require input from others, in particular: [[ Sec 4.1 (Embedding XML Schema): Check the sections on import and include mechanisms for correctness. (Be sure to check the table also.) I'm not sure I got them all right. Sec 5 (More on Interfaces): Add Example of interface inheritance. Add more MEP use cases and example? Illustrate use of outbound meps? Sec 6 (HTTP Binding Extension): Need clarification - infault outfault are missing from the binding operation syntax. Is it an oversight? Need clarification - wording about QName uniqueness in part 1 section 2.10.1 and 2.11.1 need to change. it's not correct to say "A particular operation of an interface is uniquely identified by the WSDL target namespace of the interface and the name of the operation within that interface" Sec 6.6: Check the HTTP binding example and its explanation. Something seems wrong, particularly with the use of whttp:location. Shouldn't some of the instance data be in the path component? Sec 7.1 Extensibility: Check the discussion of scoping rules in 7.1.2. Not sure if they are described correctly. Sec 7.9 (Service References): Editorial note from Arthur regarding a problem with the WSDL schema needs to be resolved. Check/fix DaveO's "Reservation Details Web Service Using HTTP Transfer" and "Reservation List Web Service Using HTTP GET" examples. Sec 7.10 Importing Schemas: Resolve Arthur's ednote. ]] I'll call in to the F2F meeting to discuss it. In the meantime, please read it and email Kevin and me about anything that needs to be fixed. (Since my W3C Fellow position has formally ended now, I probably won't be able to make many of the changes myself.) Thanks -- David Booth <dbooth@w3.org>
