Hi all, I agreed to try and come up with a proposal for combining the
two attribute operation styles into one, so here it is:
I'm proposing here a change to the accepted proposal [1] referenced from
the last WD because our spec doesn't actually contain the text.
[1]
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-ws-desc/2003Oct/att-0320/GetterSetterStyle.html
I believe that the only changes to that document necessary for uniting
the two styles are the following:
1) Change points b), c) in section 2 to the following point b'):
b') The value for @style of these operations must be:
2) Change the examples to match.
No other text in the accepted proposal talks about styles or relies on
the split to two styles - the rest of the text just talks about getter
operations and setter operations as I think it should.
In other words, the combined style would introduce the idea of an
attribute and getter and setter operations. The getter-ness or
setter-ness of the operation is unambiguously clear from the operation
name.
