Nice try, but I'm not biting.  I just refuted your claim that HTTP
authentication can't do timeouts; it can.

Perhaps you meant to be more specific in your criticism of the HTTP
authentication model?  I'm trying to keep this discussion focused on
technical arguments.  Examples would be welcome.
