I also expressed several times that I really don't like discovery
either.

If we need to adopt a term, even temporarily, I'd rather use one which
didn't have anybody really disliking it, which isn't "registry"'s
case as you pointed out.

I think that "Advertising and Discovery Agencies/Mechanisms" is one of
them, my preference going to "mechanisms".
