Management Task Force Conference call Minutes of todays call: Attendees: Heather Kreger (IBM), Igor Seduhkin (CA), Zulah Eckert (HP), Yin-Leng Husband (HP), Hao-He (Tompson), Mark Potts (Talking Blocks) New meeting time: Wednesdays 4-5:30 EST 1-877-811-9717, pc 291677 Next focus: We will produce 2 documents: 1. primer/usecases (Igor, but would do either) 2. concepts and info model (Hao, Heather, Mark) HK>Go thru info model and get consensus define metrics in terms of lifecycle/request model Igor>Primer and use cases Primer contains much of current submission and then explains the use cases. Relationships between components Includes providers and requesters perspective Zulah>Use cases Core architecture is today and what it should be and how we can reach consensus on that and have it written up Features Don't want to discuss metrics and details yet because the core hasn't been agreed on Zulahs concerned about what level of detail? Mechanisms architecture provides or details on what metrics. Zulah will try to clarify concerns at next meeting and what we need to do to alleviate them. If the questions is 'Convey to other management groups how to create a management spec that is consistent with the core architecture'. We may not have expressed that well. What part of what we're doing is in the architecture and what out and what is in arch but goes to working group. Mark (joined at end) current info is perf/avail, will we do anything about lifecycle management or configuration management. Will we get close to service level agreements? brings in more problems with identification, versioning, etc. We may need to identify other areas of management and say what will be addressed in future. Agenda for Wednesday: 1. Zulahs concerns 2. Marks management bounding 3. Attack plan Heather Kreger Web Services Lead Architect STSM, SWG Emerging Technology kreger@us.ibm.com 919-543-3211 (t/l 441) cell:919-496-9572
