Our working definition of architecture and reference architecture is more in line with my suggested terminology, than those of Boehm or others. It's also in line with Fielding; http://www.ics.uci.edu/~fielding/pubs/dissertation/software_arch.htm Personally, I'd like to see us adopt Fielding's terminology verbatim.
