This issue was opened as part of discussion entitled "OWL Compliance Level 1" [1]. Issue 3.1 - Local Restrictions Proposal - CLOSE THIS ISSUE The issue when raised concerned the fact that the requirements document did not explicitely call for local discussions. Later discussion by the WG made it clear that this is considered an important functionality, that it is supported by DAML+OIL, and that OWL will support local restrictions. The OWL Core document [1] proposes to include local restrictions. The Abstract Syntax document [2] does not explicitely call for local restrictions, but it appears to be allowable within the proposed framework.
