ANNOUNCEMENT: NEW XML-Query/Xpath Draft on Functions and Operators

[apologies for multiple postings]

W3C's XML Query Working Group, in conjunction with the W3C XSL wg,
has just published a brand NEW draft:

"XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Functions and Operators Version 1.0"
This document defines basic operators and functions on the datatypes
defined in [XML Schema Part 2: Datatypes] for use in XQuery, XPath and
other related XML standards. It also discusses operators and functions
on nodes and node sequences as defined in the [XQuery 1.0 and XPath
2.0 Data Model] for use in XQuery, XPath and other related XML
standards.

General discussion on the draft should be addressed to the www-ql@w3.org
mailing list (archives at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-ql/ ).

Comments and feedback on the draft solely addressed to the working
group should instead be sent at www-xml-query-comments@w3.org
(archives at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-query-comments/ ).

Latest versions always available from the XML Query page
(http://www.w3.org/XML/Query ),
also containing an explanation of the above mailing lists.
